This class is specifically tailored to instructing beginning Youth Karate students in fundamental techniques, katas, and building physical endurance.

Instruction specifically structured towards the independence of older children, tweens, and new teens. These 45-minute group classes introduce students to the rigors and discipline required of Shotokan Karate. Instruction centers on building: focus, physical endurance, and memory. Belts are earned through collaborative and independent testing of technical competency, physical prowess, and endurance. Youth come away with the core values of integrity, civility, polite behavior, and physical awareness. Advanced students are encouraged to compete in tournaments, but tournaments are not a requirement.
